Artist's Description
Lake King William in the central highlands of Tasmania is a man made lake with a dam wall that controls it's flow and I believe is the beginning of the Derwent river that runs some 100 miles south through to Hobart and to sea.
Because it is a managed lake, the water levels vary dramatically throughout the seasons, as this area is covered in winter snow the water flow rate through this rivulet changes immensely too.
