This image from my first trip into a special part of the Tassie wildeness, and is now known in my inner circle as "my quiet place".
This is my friend Dan taking in the vista looking over the lake to the King William Range here in the highlands of Tasmania, Dan introduced me to this place deep in the Tasmanian wilderness and I suppose it keeps drawing me back because of it's amazing beauty, I suspect you can see why.....
About Anthony Davey
Anthony is a long time photographer who works out of Tasmania (the little island at the bottom of Australia and home to the endangered Tasmanian Devil), The best way to express his home state for the world stage is to call it the Scotland of the southern hemisphere, Tasmanians enjoy the freshest vegetables, fish, meat, whisky, etc, it is well known for it's striking natural beauty and untouched wilderness, rugged mountain ranges, pristine beaches and coastal fishing communities, it is a bushwalkers paradise, eco tourism is popping up everywhere, the inhabited lanscape is dotted with fine 1800's sandstone architecture which is itself a postcard of its' brooding savage colonial past.
