This is Dashi a Turkish immigrant, he came to my quiet place via a good friend from the Big Island, Australia.
We were up there in the rugged Tassie highlands for 4 days and Dashi to his credit just took to it, I've never seen a guy just throw himself into it like he did, he fished, he cooked, he cut wood, he laboured at anything he could get his hands on, i think it rerminded him of home.
Onya Dashi just the sort of bloke we need up at the hut.....
Anthony is a long time photographer who works out of Tasmania (the little island at the bottom of Australia and home to the endangered Tasmanian Devil), The best way to express his home state for the world stage is to call it the Scotland of the southern hemisphere, Tasmanians enjoy the freshest vegetables, fish, meat, whisky, etc, it is well known for it's striking natural beauty and untouched wilderness, rugged mountain ranges, pristine beaches and coastal fishing communities, it is a bushwalkers paradise, eco tourism is popping up everywhere, the inhabited lanscape is dotted with fine 1800's sandstone architecture which is itself a postcard of its' brooding savage colonial past.
